Again, I am rushing off to work. I wanted to make a post about the colors of the Bazaar del Mundo. This is a store in San Diego and I really love this place. Every time I go there I take photos. The colors are unbelievable. I finally got to get a blanket/serape from there the last time I went. So, It has been thoroughly cataloged. 😛 I took a photo of the blanket, took microscopic photos of it and also did a watercolor practice with it. It is probably the most well documented serape this side of the Colorado River. Anyways here are some photos.
The first photo is of the blanket on my massage table and the second is a photo of some of the textiles at Bazaar del Mundo. The ones shown there are mostly tableware items. I don’t have a dining table so unfortunately I don’t have anywhere to put all of those or I’d give them a home for sure. The featured image for this article is the watercolor practice I did. I’m on this 30 days of watercolor kick from an internet meme so I’m hitting that hard. This is the “lines” exercise from the image. Honestly, I doubt I will make it past the first week. I rarely do but, my watercolor skills can use all the help they can get. So, I’m going to do these exercises while my feverish interest is fixated on them. Below are the magnified closeups of the blanket.
